Choose the visit you need

Routine service and a new problem may need different amounts of time. Tell us what you drive, what needs checking and when you need the car back.

Tilden Woods drivers visit our family-owned shop at 12356 Wilkins Ave in Rockville, where we've operated since 1990.

Tell us what you need checked and whether your plans include an overnight stay or collecting the car after hours.

Booking and confirming the visit

You can call 301-881-8530, use the shop's online booking link or send a request through the website. Existing customers can also communicate with us through our text platform. Give a short description of the concern so we know what you want to arrange.

Online bookings receive a text confirmation. Contact us if you need help confirming your appointment rather than assuming an incomplete request has reserved a time. You can also ask about maintenance records to bring or a new concern that has appeared since booking.

Overnight stays and later pickup

Vehicles can stay overnight for larger repairs or later pickup, and we do not charge storage for those arrangements. Tell us in advance if you expect to leave the vehicle longer so the plan is clear.

For after-hours pickup, arrange it with Todd, Mike or Gary at the front desk. We offer payment by text or phone and make an individual arrangement for your key. Confirm those details before closing, along with a current number where we can reach you about the work.

Finding a service day that works for Tilden Woods

Tilden Woods Local Park is on Tilden Lane and includes a playground, playing fields and courts. If a game, a park visit or another family commitment is already scheduled, leaving the car for service can mean arranging more than a drop-off time. Tell us when you'll need the vehicle and whether a later collection would help.

Preferred Automotive is at 12356 Wilkins Ave in Rockville. We can discuss the appointment, expected timing and any overnight or after-hours pickup arrangement before you settle the rest of your plans. Those details are worth confirming directly with the front desk.
